Tyson vs. Paul boxing mega-event Preview

Paul, a former YouTuber who is now a prizefighter, has only suffered one defeat in his professional boxing career—to Fury by split decision in February 2023. In October, Fury—the younger half-brother of heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury—became the winner of a unanimous decision against YouTuber-turned-boxer KSI. Fury is well-known in his native United Kingdom thanks to an appearance on the reality series “Love Island.”

In August of last year, Paul, 27, went on to defeat UFC icon Nate Diaz in a boxing bout. Since then, Paul has redirected his boxing career to face somewhat unknown opponents in order to obtain experience in the hopes of eventually winning a title. He’s taking a more conventional route than one would expect from someone with his background. Paul is an 8-1 boxer with five knockout victories.

Paul defeated Andre August in the opening frame of their December fight. On March 2, Paul will make his ring comeback to take on Ryan Bourland, the former Golden Gloves champion, as the co-main event of Amanda Serrano vs. Nina Meinke in Puerto Rico.
